Education Programs

The Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing leadership in medical education, especially related to the health care of children and youth, for medical students, postgraduate trainees, peers, other physicians and allied health professionals. The Department provides pediatric academic services for Dalhousie Medical School, the IWK Health Centre and is a resource for provincial and regional Continuing Medical Education and Public Education activities. In addition to playing an important role in medical school educational programs, the Department has an excellent general pediatric residency program and five accredited subspecialty residency programs.
