Founded over 125 years ago, Dalhousie University, Maritime Canada's only Medical School, is the 4th oldest of Canada's 16 Medical Schools. The Department of Pediatrics is located at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The IWK Health Centre is a 332 bed children's hospital serving children, youth, women and families in the three Maritime Provinces and beyond. It is a tertiary health center dedicated to clinical care, teaching, and research.
